The Journey to the Underworld

Friday, 24 January 2014

Hey look! A regular blog post!

Well.

I have good news and I have bad news.

The good news is I have plotted out in my head exactly how I want the first three books to go in my 'secret series'.

The bad news is I haven't actually written any of it down yet.

At least I'm blogging regularly. Kind of.

Basically anytime I have a moment to myself, I've been plotting things and going over details in my head which is good as it means when I actually come to write it, I will know what I'm doing and where I'm going with it. The problem is actually finding time to write it down. -_-

Hopefully I will actually find a period of time long enough for me to make progress on the series and soon, before I forget my wonderfully cruel plots. >:P

New Year, New Start

So I've decided to turn over a new leaf. This year, I will blog regularly, I will write more and I will enjoy it. I hope.

Here's to a good year. :)

Wow. I suck at blogging.

Hello everybody. I really do apologise for not blogging. I have just been stupidly lazy these past couple of months. Which is not good.

I'm going to start blogging again regularly now and hopefully, (fingers crossed), I'll stick with it. In this post, I'm going to talk about my recent achievement, me being bigheaded and all.

* Drumroll please! *

I have made it to the national finals of The Poetry Games! Basically, it's this big poetry competition for young writers (such as myself) where you submit a poem for the chance to be published in a regional anthology. The editors then pick a finalist from each region to compete in the final, where the poets have to turn their poem into a video. I have done that, and the voting has gone live, and I'm massively behind on votes. I would really appreciate your support in this competition. The website is:

http://www.youngwriters.co.uk/poetry-games-voting.php

You can vote once a day until mid January so please vote every day for me. I'll give you lots of cookies :3 (::)

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your support. :)

An Apology

* Shuffles in awkwardly * Ummm, hello?

I'm sorry for not posting. I've been VERY busy. Mostly being ill, and then recovering from being ill. It was nothing serious and I'm almost over it now. So back to business now.

There are lots of things I need to talk about, such as meeting Derek Landy and Eoin Colfer :D It was SO AMAZING!!! Both Derek and Eoin are amazingly brilliant, kind people and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I got my photo taken with each of them and had brilliant conversations with both of them. Here is me with Derek:

And here is me with Eoin:

Needless to say it was an absolutely fantastic day.

Next, Lindsey Stirling has released not one but TWO fantastic songs these past few weeks, including a remake of her fabulous dubstep single Elements. The orchestral remake of Elements was made in conjunction with NBC for their new show Dracula, which premieres on the 25th October. Both video and song are absolutely FANTASTIC. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqtKpLUd3Ng

Secondly, a few weeks previously, Lindsey released a Pokémon dubstep remix, which is a collaboration with guitarist Kurt Schneider. Again both video and song are absolutely BRILLIANT so make sure to check out both their channels. Link to the remix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99ZYIECx1Vw

Also, the pianist William Joseph has released a fantastic dubstep rendition of Imagine Dragons' Radioactive with Devin Graham (devinsupertramp). The video is absolutely EPIC. He's playing the piano on a lake. What more do you want? Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01jgYIZfHrM

In the gaming world of Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD was released on Wii U, which I'm hopefully going to get my very own copy of soon. Also, some more limited edition consoles have been announced which collectors might be interested in, especially the limited edition TLOZ: A Link to the Past 3DS XL coming soon.

And finally, Terraria (which is basically a 2D Minecraft) is on sale now on Steam.

That is it for the update at the moment, with much more coming soon. Goodbye for now :)

It's-a me! Mario!

Ha! I wish. Interstellar Pleasant here introducing myself to my fans. Which is nobody. Seems like I'm just blogging to myself again.

Oh well.

If any of you ever actually find this post, you will actually know what I'm going to blog about. To everyone else, it's a surprise o.O

On this blog, I will review books, films, TV shows, video games, consoles, gadgets and so on and so forth. I will also post updates on my written works, complain about writer's block and generally complain about how life isn't fair because I can't marry Benedict Cumberbatch. Life sucks.

Anyway, this post is just to say hello. Hello.

Also, I am a ninja unicorn.

That is all.
